MANDATE & FUNCTION
1. The Ministry formulate, coordinate, implement and review Government policies and programmes relating to the promotion and development of all commercial and industrial activities in the State.
2. It arranges and coordinates all forms of technical assistance relating to foreign direct investment and technical transfers. 
3. It advises Government pertaining to manufacturing and allied establishments in and outside the State.
4. It is responsible for registration of all forms of business premises in the State with a view to generating revenue and providing useful data for developmental policies and programmes in relation to commercial activities in the State.
5. It coordinates the State’s participation in both domestic and international trade fairs. 
6. It promotes non-oil exports in the State through coordinating the activities of Nigeria Export Promotion Council.
7. It coordinates and supervises the activities of Gusau Central Market.
8. It provides business introductory letters to deserving businessmen/organizations who are willing to interact with
other outside business partners.
9. It coordinates the activities of State Chamber of Commerce as an apex body of private sector.
10. It coordinates the procurement and supply of standard weights and measures that will be used in our markets across the 14 Local Government Areas in the State.

Provide resources, training, and guidance to entrepreneurs and businesses to enhance their competitiveness and sustainability.

3. Tourism Promotion
Organize events, campaigns, and initiatives to promote Zamfara’s tourism potential, including festivals, cultural events, and trade fairs.

Conduct research to identify market trends, opportunities, and challenges in commerce and tourism, providing
